Beau Slump

Hello dear readers! I'm very excited to see that more people have been checking out my blog since being featured on one of my favorites, http://effingdykes.blogspot.com/. I feel I've really made it in the world...
Yes! So! Here is my next comic, illustrated by me (Liv Mershon) and written by B.B. They wish to remain semi-anonymous. This is a true story.
The next issue of my zine "You Fucking Pervert" will be coming out next week. Lemme know if you want a copy (donation or trade) write to callheroliver@fastmail.fm

Problem Solved

Its been a really, really long time since I've posted but a project has finally come my way that fits the initial goal of this blog and I think its worth sharing. I'm asking friends to write half a page to whole page stories for me to illustrate. Here is the first.

Please, if you read this and are interested in participating in the project, send me an email at jmershon@indiana.edu

Story written by my big love, Ryan Baker.

Another story to come next week.

a few pieces of nonsense

A one page comic that barely (didn't) fit in the scanner.

A short, sort-of sequential comic in pen and oil pastels

I'm still working on (thinking about) the illustrated story I'm making from old photographs (see previous posts) but as I can never do things in order, am not finished yet... at least in the traditional sense. Soon enough, though, I will put something together for people to hold in their hands. I like to share things that way.

Another panel in progress for the illustrated story I'm working on!

Venom Bubble

Here is what soon will be the t-shirt image for the glorious band, Silent Hippie, for which I am singing vocals! Playing a show this wednesday at the Ghost House!

Its been a minute!

Here's a drawing I did of my good friends Abdullah and Jacqui. We were at our old house across from Bryan Park, "The SauceBox." So many amazing, crazy, fucked up, awesome things happened there. I love these two pictured and Al and Abby (and Leah who lived there last year). That house will go down in the books. "The dark parts" refers to that mysterious area inside of Abdullah's skirt. Turns out, it looks like album art for their non-existent band.

Another panel for my illustrated story/comic. Still haven't decided how it will be presented. I'll either shrink these images down to make panels or just do as single panel per page. Hm? What would you suggest?
This is the lady who's glorious bottom is making itself known in the first panel I posted.

p.s. How can I make this blog more interesting? Should I talk about myself more? Should I add little tidbits of interesting facts? What would make people want to look at this weekly? Any advice would be appreciated!
