Its been a minute!

Here's a drawing I did of my good friends Abdullah and Jacqui. We were at our old house across from Bryan Park, "The SauceBox." So many amazing, crazy, fucked up, awesome things happened there. I love these two pictured and Al and Abby (and Leah who lived there last year). That house will go down in the books. "The dark parts" refers to that mysterious area inside of Abdullah's skirt. Turns out, it looks like album art for their non-existent band.

Another panel for my illustrated story/comic. Still haven't decided how it will be presented. I'll either shrink these images down to make panels or just do as single panel per page. Hm? What would you suggest?
This is the lady who's glorious bottom is making itself known in the first panel I posted.

p.s. How can I make this blog more interesting? Should I talk about myself more? Should I add little tidbits of interesting facts? What would make people want to look at this weekly? Any advice would be appreciated!

No joke. I'm makin' comics

Good day!

I've decided to get more serious with this blog and start updating weekly, so keep checking back! I've started a comic book that should be finished this fall and will be posting those works in progress for your curious eyes. The book will be a self published, hand made treasure.

Please feel free to post gratuitous compliments and/or harsh anonymous feedback.

Above: A panel I'm working on for the comic book. When I was at a flea market in Berlin last summer, I picked up a couple family photo albums (circa 1950's Germany) and have been using the photographs inside as basis for drawings. The photos tell so many unsaid stories, with recurring characters who were once real people (still real people I'm not sure). The photos are all so incidentally beautiful. I have to tell these stories... I feel I owe it to the people captured in this heirloom I've bequeathed.

Another day, another Baller

After getting nervous and passing Boxcar Books, I forced myself to turn around, nearly decapitating myself by a tree hovering over the sidewalk, and go back to present my bookmarks to Boxcar to sell for consignment. Thirteen oddly shaped, unique little numbers will hopefully be accepted for sale today. woopeeee!

And! I received an email from the good folks at Kids' Orchard and Lapidary in Southeast Arizona saying that they'd love to have Abby and I work on their farm this winter. SO ITS BEEN A GREEEAT DAY so far!

And here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.
Gimme something to draw about and I'll post it on here and send it to you. Fun!

oh the wonders of co-dependency

"lets puke sunshine into each other's mouths!!!"
"okaaay!!"

what a beautiful bow you have holding up that smile!

isn't it funny to think about what people look like when they're trying to swat flies? and the satisfaction and dissapointment that comes with the SMASHING?
